About Brown University Warren Alpert Medical School

Brown Alpert Medical School is a collaborative program with close ties to the Rhode Island hospital system. Training is integrated from year one, with students gaining clinical exposure early at Rhode Island Hospital, The Miriam, and Hasbro Children's.

Clinical Year Structure

MS3 — Core Rotations

Internal Medicine (12 wks), Surgery (8 wks), OB/GYN (6 wks), Pediatrics (6 wks), Psychiatry (6 wks), Neurology (4 wks), Family Medicine (4 wks)

MS4 — Electives & Sub-Internships

MS4 electives across the Lifespan and Care New England hospital systems. Combined degree and research pathways available.
