What are MS3 and MS4 rotations?

Third year (MS3) rotations form the core clinical curriculum — typically required rotations in internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry, and family medicine. Fourth year (MS4) rotations are often more flexible, allowing students to pursue sub-internships, audition rotations, and electives in their chosen specialty.

The hospitals available for these rotations, and the structure of the curriculum, vary widely by school. Use the table below to compare, or browse individual school pages for full details.
